Retrograde Mercury squares Saturn in Capricorn. Causing some unwanted tension between our intellect and communication and the planet of Karma and Lessons. You can probably anticipate an early morning disagreement or worse an argument this morning if you do not watch out. This disagreement may not only be with another person but it could happen internally. Mercury in Aries is very much “I want” and ” I am going to say what I think is right” Head butting with the Teacher and Master of structure, saying well no this is how it is going to be. This aspect could be great for reigning in your ego. The key for today is… You must aim to not just say things or do things before thinking of the long-term consequences. Push through your sense of reluctance that Saturn will be bestowing on you today, by thinking things through on an objective level.

The day can only get better from there, and it does! For the rest of the day, you should be in relatively high spirits feeling seen and appreciated in this magical world. This is due to the Moon being in lively Sagittarius all day. The energy is lightened and the mood is tainted with a go and get them approach. You are fun and thrill seeking and are attracted to new situations especially if it means a new conquest. As the Moon passes through organised, efficient and analytical Virgo, you feel driven to accomplish things today especially if it’s at work, your health or at home organisation.

Last year on December 21st, Saturn returned to his home sign of Capricorn, as well as joining the Sun and beginning an annual cycle. This cycle has brought forth some seriousness, stability and responsibility to the table. Today we reach the First Quarter Square between them, it’s a day for action, reflection and a day to face to reality!

Jupiter forms a semi-square with Saturn.

This semi square between Saturn and Jupiter is the first of three long-term aspects. We will see the next one happen in March and again in September 2018. This semi – square is here to remind us to slow down, especially in regards to long-term plans or projects. It’s about feeling the energy and the ebb and flow. This is not the time to take shortcuts it’s about taking baby steps in order to pick up the mistakes. Big Moves equals bigger obstacles and challenges, so taking it slow and going with the flow allows us to re structure, edit and smooth out those little details before moving forward. Some re-configuring of our lives and our business goals is now in order.

The Moon continues its transit through Aquarius. You will find that your mind will wander off to more innovative and original way of thinking. It’s a day to think outside the box or from an unusual or open-minded perspective.

Mercury, the communication planet stations direct today. Many of you have been waiting impatiently for Mercury to turn direct. This Mercury retrograde period may be officially over, but its energy is still lingering. So still expect communication breakdowns and interpretation of thoughts and ideas to be muffled! It will take a few days before you will have a full sense of forward motion. However its still exciting because we are on our way forward! I know most of us ready to get going and to move forward with those new projects, ideas, travel plans, signing of official documents along with a sigh of relief that communications will be clear and no more misunderstandings. It’s about changing for the better and sending anything troubling us to the universe for transmutation.

The Sun entered Capricorn today. the Sun’s forms an alignment with Saturn (also in Capricorn). It is asking us to get serious. Saturn is the planet of lessons and hard work so if things get tough just allow stress to roll off your back.

Now that the Sun is in Capricorn, it marks for us down under (the southern hemisphere) the summer solstice/litha and the winter solstice and yule in the northern hemisphere.

Capricorn’s are the type that keep their feet-on-the-ground. They are focused, especially when reaching a work stats and goal. This month, expect to keep your eye-on-the-prize. With Sun in Capricorn we become more realistic, this earth grounded signs approach to life is by working hard and playing hard. The Capricorn Sun energy will give us ideas on how to do things, and how to get things done. This month use the Capricorn energy to make something and your self worthwhile.

When the Sun is in Capricorn, our attention and focus is on hard work. We start to become authoritative and more disciplined and responsible. Capricorn is represented by the Goat, who no matter what condition is thrown their way or how hard the journey is to the top of the mountain, they will reach it no matter what. The New Moon Phase today and Saturn moves into Capricorn.

Today is going to be a powerful day! both exciting and serious. We are still in the New Moon phase today and an exciting shift occurs as the planet Saturn moves into Capricorn. This is one of those weeks which just stands out in terms of major astrology action taking place. Exciting!

We are still in the New Moon phase today and an exciting shift occurs as the planet Saturn moves into Capricorn. FYI – Saturn takes about 28-29 years to come full circle so most will experience this at least three times in their life. This means if you where just in a Saturn Sagittarius transit (Me including) you have every reason to let out a sigh and a big loud whoop of relief. Yay I survived Saturn!

Late Tuesday night we seen Saturn leave Sagittarius behind to enter Capricorn. Saturn, astrologically speaking is the most authoritative voice in the solar system. The Master planet of karmic lessons. Saturn has been in Sagittarius since December 2014. Saturn enters Capricorn today, which it will remain until March 2020.

Saturn in Capricorn is cautious and ambitious. It teaches us through responsibilities, authority, working hard, limitations, solitude and life lessons. Saturn in Capricorn makes each individual to look very carefully at our responsibilities, at our actions, at our choices and integrity. There may be uncomfortable lessons and moments we may face! However keep in mind, as you face them and work through the issues, you will develop the gift of maturity, work ethics and self-respect.
