Humans have gazed up at the nighttime sky for thousands of years, looking for meaning and guidance from the moon and stars. If you think about it, its really amazing how the Moon has a profound effect on the Earth, the gravity it generates is powerful enough to stir up and move water in our oceans , causing high and low tides.

The revolution of the Moon around the Earth makes the Moon appear as if it is changing shape and colour in the sky, but as we all know the Moon doesn’t generate any light itself,  its illuminating glow  is just the reflection of the light caused by the different angle of the Sun, in which we see as the bright part on the Moon’s surface.

The moon is our closest neighbor in space, and the moon has a profound effect on the Earth and on the human imagination. The moon & its phases were understood as early as 500 BC by the Greeks.  The shadow it cast is dark enough to obscure our sun in a solar eclipse. Its brilliance can illuminate a traveler’s path on a long winter’s night.

Being aware of the moon and seasonal changes has always been important to those who choose to focus the lunar energy on their goals and objectives, the moon cycles were used to keep track of seasons, and thus designated different agricultural markers.

In most neo-Pagan and Wiccan traditions, the names given to the various moon cycles are based upon a couple of different sources. the moon cycles were used to keep track of seasons, and thus designated different agricultural markers. The farmers almanacs ( An Almanacs is a calendar containing events such as phases of the moon, tides,sunrises and sunsets, astronomical or meteorological information,including future positions of celestial objects, star magnitudes, and culmination dates of constellations and other statistical information and related topics.) Where based on lunar cycles. The phases of the moon were very important to the farmer’s who timed their harvesting according to the moons cycles.
Knowing the moons phases can help you plan and prepare for change, new beginnings and endings. Ancient ways can still be used in modern times, working with the moons energy increases your own personal power and supports your intention. it is used in goal setting and self-empowerment,  and, of course, the moons energy play’s an important role for people that use the various phases of the moon in ritual work, magic and other ceremonies.

Rituals undertaken during certain moon phases can be enhanced by using the moon and its cycles for specific purposes.

What is an intention?

Intentions can long term or short term process of manifesting a goal or achievement, it is a guiding principle for how you want to be, live, and show up in the world.

Why set an intention?

Setting an intention triggers the first step in the process of manifestation in order to achieve an accomplishment. it is a powerful practice because it’s the first step to embodying that which you want.

Wayne Dyer said, “Our intention creates our reality.” And how many times have you heard “What you think, you become,” or “Thoughts become things”?

How do I set an intention and stay on track?

Here are some of the tips which I think can help us set intentions and achieve them.

Make a firm decision ~

Set your intention firmly. Identify what you want. Pledge to make a change in your lifestyle.Your intention should be closely tied to your personal thoughts, values and perspective on life.

Identify your priorities~

Your intentions should be cohesive with your vision of yourself ahead of time. Learn to identify where you are in the present moment and what coincides with the lifestyle you want. your intentions can be a clear and specific wish, or could be  as simple as a word or phrase you’d like to align yourself with, such as “i will have more compassion for myself and others”, or “i will open your mind and heart,” ” i will love myself more” Etc..

Here are some thought-starters to help you get started in forming an intention~

  • What would you like to build, create, or nurture in your life?
  • What would you like to let go of?
  • How do you feel when you are your happiest self?
  • What fears would you like to release?
  • What are you grateful for?
  • Who would you like to forgive in your life?

Write them down or  create a vision board~

An effective way of visualizing your intention is to write it down or create a vision board with newspaper or magazine clippings which can remind you every day. like place you want to visit, items you will save up and purchases, the healthy dream body you want to achieve , how you want to decorate your home,What matters most to you?

Review 
~

Once you have written them down, take a step back and review your intention. Are they realistic? Or are you committing to something that won’t align well with the lifestyle you lead?  also you must revisit it often and when needed

Make an action plan
Set a plan that is cohesive to your life style. There could be more than one method or pathway to arrive at your destination. Decide on a plan to achieve that suits you.

Track your progress
 ~

This is important to determine if you are headed in the right direction with your intention. If not, sit back and re-evaluate. If something isn’t working you have the power to tweak your action plan.

Involve others, 
It is always good to involve others to hold yourself accountable. Tell anyone and everyone. It will help boost your motivation.

Welcome failure & Celebrate your wins ~

Don’t give up because of obstacles. There could be many paths leading to the same destination. Try out different methods. Learn and be patient. 
Failure is an important part of the entire process. Welcome it. Learn from it. Intentions can sometimes deviate from the original plan and that is OK! So persist
.

and remember…

Celebrate your wins. Even small achievements. The loss of 2 lbs, Your boss praising you,   or that promotion.  You are one step closer.

Don’t lose sight! 
Stay focused on the end result and  don’t get distracted by the time it takes or obstacles that may block our path.

IT’S HERE…THE FULL MOON  LUNAR ECLIPSE

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 4 degrees in Libra

OK, it’s the celestial build-up we have all been waiting for! Over the next 24 hours, Astrologically we will see  two massive planets, Jupiter and Saturn clash and then on the same day, we get the Full Moon eclipse in the relationship sign of Libra.

In other words, all bets are off in March, due to our  Super New moon in Pisces, our Lunar Eclipse in Libra and the equinox, so  things could get quite wild and it’s a REALLY awesome day to practice some old fashioned Full Moon forgiveness and gratitude. We are in a transformational time right now, Exciting stuff hey.

It is too soon for you to decide how you will use the new information that you’re absorbing. You may have some ideas, though, so it might be wise to write them down for future use. Soon enough, you will be called into action to apply your knowledge in useful ways. When that happens, you will be very busy and work very hard. So, enjoy the present moments of ambiguity and rest.

Allow yourself to be an empty vessel into which Heaven pours the contents of its library of wisdom. Your unique talents will blend with this wisdom, and synthesize it into a new and important way to bring peace to this planet.

How to meditate without falling to sleep! 

Are you falling asleep During meditation?

Some questions to ask yourself if you find that you are drifting off whilst meditating..

Is your body or your mind exhausted?  due to intense exercise, physical work or mental exhaustion ? i know some days i am drained and nod off during meditation, Being a Nurse i am physically , emotionally and mentally exhausted some days ( well most at the moment). Is your stomach full when you meditate? or do you practice mindful breathing &  meditation right after a meal? Are you sleep deprived or are you trying to meditate for longer than what you naturally feel like doing? Where and what position are you meditating in?

One of the reasons its suggested to meditate in the morning is cos you awake fresh and alert ( well you should be, there is one exception.. if its rainy and stormy outside). If you haven’t had enough sleep, or are physically exhausted, then it is probably not the best time to meditate. Have some rest first, then try meditating.

If you are still falling to sleep , and you are well rested, keep at it, Keep refocusing on the object of meditation. The mind knows how to be busy thinking, or how to sleep  but is not used to being aware but “empty”, so when we try and switch off and meditate, the mind will try and get distracted, going off on tangents or it will try and go to sleep. Sop keep at it!!!  It will help strengthen your will power, and hopefully with practice you will eventually not have this problem anymore.

There is an exception, if after a busy, exhausting day in which you need to unwind and distract your brain from over thinking, using this breathing mediation is perfect to unwind, relax and fall to sleep carefree, if you are having trouble focusing because of all the traffic in your head, write down all the things on your mind, and a ” to do” or ” things to remember” list for the next day. By writing them down, you are releasing the stress associated with thinking you will forget important things what needs to be done.

Falling asleep can also happen if your sessions are too long. If that is the case, then diminish the length to what is natural to you. Don’t be too ambitious, grow step by step. You can use guided meditation apps in which you are following directions, and at the end they  bring you back to a conscious state. You should not force your mindful breathing sessions or any meditation longer than you are motivated to do.

Sleepiness may be contributed to attempting to mediate right after a meal, especially if you have eaten a lot like i tend to do, its a curse being an emotional eater, i eat when i am happy, sad, stressed, anxious… sigh so i tend to try to meditate pre meals, or a mini session at the coffee shop, or  before bed. If you meditate with a full stomach, much of your energy will be diverted to digestion and less will be available for meditation. If you have just eaten, you will likely have better results if you wait two to three hours after a meal.

Another reason could be if you take alcohol or other drug’s within a 24 to 48 hour period before meditating, as this can t distort your meditation experience, increase your chances of entering either a sleep or a passive state and often it can deaden or dull your inner sensitivity.

What position are you meditating in? if you meditate lying down or in a reclining chair,or in big comfy beanbags or couch  you are more prone to falling a sleep, or  may make it more likely for you to nod off during meditation. You may get better results if you sit upright in a cross legged pose, or a yoga mat, or  in a straight-backed chair.

Practicing meditation after some light exercise, or a shower, can make you be more awake during the session.

Mindfulness Breathing Meditation

By focusing on the breath you become aware of the mind’s tendency to jump from one thing to another. The simple discipline of concentration brings us back to the present moment

The purpose of this exercise is to simply notice, accept and be aware of your breath, it’s bringing you back into the moment. As well as this, the mindfulness of breathing is a good antidote to restlessness and anxiety, and a good way to relax: concentration on the breath has a positive effect on your entire physical and mental state.

Sit quietly in a chair with both feet on the ground and your hands in your lap. Close your eyes, if it feels comfortable. If not, soften your gaze. Allow yourself to feel centred in the chair. Bring your attention to the present moment by noticing how you’re feeling physically. Scan your body from head to toe and consciously try to let any tension slip away. Take a moment to notice your environment – any sounds you might hear in the background, what the temperature feels like in the room.Bring all of your attention to the physical act of breathing. Start to notice the breath as it enters your body through your nose and travels to your lungs. After the out-breath you count one, then you breathe in and out and count two, and so on up to ten, and then you start again at one.

Don’t try to do anything with your breathing – simply notice it, pay attention to it and be aware of it.  Each time your mind wanders away from the breath (and this will happen many times!), notice where it goes and then gently bring your attention back to the feeling of the breath going in and out.

Start of by just doing a few minutes , set a timer for 5 minutes (Eventually work your way up to 10, 15 then 30 minutes). When the meditation has ended, take a few moments to yourself, just to really feel connected with the present moment. Expand your awareness from the breath into the room around you, and as you feel comfortable to do so, open your eyes and bring the exercise to a close.

Take a few moments to think about what your experience was in this exercise, and how you feel in the present moment. Journal and take notes on how you feel, and compare your notes at the end of the week, and you can not only feel it, but you will be able to reflect and see the difference.

 

Mindfulness Monday…

The Happiness Project…..

Day 1.

Today is the first day of my mini happiness adventure, and an optimistic attitude is the first tool you need to tackle change. So today let me introduce you to Mindfulness, the ancient practice of focusing a non judgmental awareness on the present moment is a great place to start.

Mindfulness is a great mind exercises that allow you to be able to identify, permit and reduce any painful, fearful and difficult thoughts, sensations  and feelings. Trying to shift these personal experiences, feelings and thoughts to that of a positive mind-set, try asking yourself what-if questions, such as,

“What if life is working on my behalf?”

“What if this is a blessing in disguise?”.

“What if I believe things are going to get better?”

“What if this crisis is the best wake-up call I ever got?”Looking at change this way will make it seem less scary because you’re focusing your mind on positive outcome. Mindfulness gives you back some sense of mastery over your thoughts and feelings. Rather than having the sense that you are being pushed around by the universe or your feelings and thoughts you can learn to be able to have some control over them. So seeing the positive in what seems like a negative will you can actually rewire your mind to think more optimistically.

Mindfulness can…

Increases Positive Emotions .

Decreases Depression.

Decreases Anxiety .

Decreases Stress.

Today, go to a cafe, sit at the beach or go somewhere you love and feel good to be at, and write down things that have upset you, hurt you, any difficult situations or people and really reflect, look at things from an outside point of view, non emotional and non bias view and write ONE or more positive “What If’s”.

So for me, last year i seemed to meet really great guys, but it never worked out, i thought i was not good enough or why can’t i every find love and be happy?”

” What if he wasn’t the man for me, and the universe was making me, emotionally free and single, so that the right man to come into my life, and i will be drama and stress-free and happy” .

So today i really looked back on the relationships… And as much as i hated to admit it, as much as they where great guys… they were not the great guy for me..

Today i will also use mindfulness in little bumps in my day ( hopefully I don’t ) but  instead of getting mad, or upset i will stop myself, take 3 deep breaths , affirm to myself ” its going to be ok, you have survived a lot worse, smile this will all pass quickly”

Love

Send love to anything and everything! It is the most powerful energy and since thoughts are energy, imagining it works!

Think of your heart, the central part of the human body, the only organ that works without any nervous system sitimulation, the heart beats to its own intrinsic rhythm “It dances to the beat of its own drumb”.  It fires off signals of life every 1 – 2seconds, this amazing organ is not only a tool that conducts energy, not only for you and to you, but also conducts it out away from you. Energy is something that moves through things, into things and out of things. The energy that is created within your heart can be moved to other places. So Please send out heart energy in such a way that it touches others.

Just imagine white or pink light or anything else that you feel symbolizes love best and let it surround or fill anything you wish! It feels amazing and it is one of the easiest ways to help anyone you love, family friends, someone you see suffering from a far, animals and even situations.

When heart energy touches someone, it affects them. They have a choice to both receive the energy and take it inside, or allow it to pass through them. Even if it passes through them, it touches them in some way.

So how has every gone writing their New Moon wishes? Top 3 tips when writing and setting your intentions…

  1. Write your wishes and/or intentions down – either on a sheet of paper with a pen, or with coloured pens, pencils and so on. The more energy you invest, the better your results are likely to be.
  2. Read them out to the Universe then either bury or burn your list, or set it aside so you can check it this time next month, to see how your wishes worked out.
  3. THIS IS THE CRUCIAL BIT: Really, really, FEEL how you would/will feel if and when the wishes come true. Hold those feelings.

The veils will continue to thin even further this week and multidimensional reality brought forth. During this phase you will have the subconscious brought to the conscious through your dream and meditative state. Be sure to journal any and all as this will provide “keys” or “glimpse” to your immediate future. How exciting..

Don’t forget to open up and look for synchronicities, this is a very exciting week so expect more abundance in your life and blessings to come your way out of the blue!

Grounding..

Well this card has popped up the most perfect time…

This card is a signal that your energy and attention need to be grounded. If you’ve been feeling spacey, confused, or forgetful ( who can blame one, with all this crazy New Moon, solar eclipse energy buzzing around) this card speaks to the reason. “Ungroundedness” means that your attention is directed up too high, as if you’re not in your body.

A balance is needed between a focus on spirit and a focus on Earth. You can ground yourself by walking barefoot on grass or soil, by eating foods from the ground like potatoes or carrots, by rubbing your bare feet, by touching a tree or plant, or by visualizing roots coming from the bottom of your feet into the earth. Grounding will help you to better concentrate and focus, and will also increase your connections to the angels.

So today try and..

  • Spend time gardening
  • Work with flower essences •
  • Adjust your diet and other lifestyle habits so that they support your mental and physical awareness
  • Make sure the words you speak or write are practical, grounded, and understandable
  • Be down-to-earth and authentic in your relationships
  • Send love and light to Mother Earth.

This New Super Moon in Pisces has and will create confusion, and mixed energies in many sectors of your world. This strong new moon solar energy brings with it strong opinions, creative ideas, lots of day dreaming, emotional healing and mystical events, it is important during this time that yes we can float away with out imagination and get lost in dreams but we must still stay grounded.

There are two powerful ways to get grounded. One way is to do a tree meditation.  First, stand up, or sit up straight and tall.  Make believe that you are a tree or visualize that you have branches that extend out of your body way up into the sky as high as you can imagine.  Next, imagine that you have roots wrapped around your legs that are buried deep, deep within the core of the earth, wrapping around your ankles cementing and anchoring you deep. Another  way to feel grounded instantly is to hold a large, smooth rock in both hands or crystals with grounding energy and vibrations.  You are now grounded and energetically connected to the earth and the Universe.

Self- Talking the power booster of Manifestation

Self- Talk & the Law Of Attraction

Self Talking is an every-second practiced activity and a minor conscious tweaking in it can boost the process of  manifesting.

We as humans all talk to ourselves every moment ( i bet you observed it now & had a self -talking thought,  processing that statement).  We all have a silent, internal conversation with ourselves, in our mind, almost all of the time.  This is called Internal Self-Talk and is totally natural and healthy. Sometimes we knowingly talk to our self about what we are thinking about and sometimes we self talk in regards to things we find interesting or observe in that moment of time, these related thoughts are nothing but your attraction. Remember what Law of attraction says “Like attracts like”.

Self Talking is an every moment practiced activity and with just a minor conscious tweak  can boost the process of manifestation.

What thoughts circulate in your mind daily? how do you self talk to yourself?

Are you the one who is very clear on what you do not like in life?

what kind of person who always says maybe one day?

Are you the one who looks at your dream things and thinks  “i wish i its mine”?

Are you a wishful Thinker?

Are you the one who says yourself to calm down and relax? 

do you always feel and think “the worst always happens to me” or “This won’t work out.”

Are you always thinking “I never get things right.” and  ” how come i cant  do that”

Well those are some examples of what will NOT help manifest your dreams and desires. Word’s like these are a powerful way of stopping positive manifestations and attracting the wrong situations in your life. Be a positive power talker, by being a power attractor.  A Power attractor is always a Power Talker and remember words are not just words, they have inherent power.

 Quick tips to be instant positive Self – thinker

1- Observe your thoughts

“A thought, when given attention, starts thinking more thoughts”.

Observing your thoughts and emotions behind your words is the first vital step if you want to master how to use law of attraction. Observation is certainly the most important phase when you talk to yourself. So when a negative thought arises in your mind, it has the capacity to attract more negative thoughts. the key here is not to fuel the negative thought ” fire” by giving it more attention and in the absence of attention, a negative thought simply loses its force and dies back into the nothingness from which it arose. this also applies to positive thoughts, so fuel the right word fire in your mind, even if it may require you to put in extra effort, just trust me and have faith.

 

2 – Re – work the way you look at life.

Learning to Re program  and re paraphrase your words is a great technique to attracting positive Self- talk and manifesting our dreams.  All you have to do is to check your self-talks instead of saying ” she has a better life and more money than me, or they are fitter and have a better body than me , my life is nothing compared to theirs, you are connecting YOU with those  poor outcomes and this is  sending a very strong signal in Universe on what you want and the universe will match your energy and be given more ” poverty, weight gain, less money etc….

instead of associating you with negative experiences you can say

“I am already Wealthy.”

“Oh! How wonderful a wealthy lifestyle is”

“I like them, but i do business better than them, and i am getting more wealthy than they are ”

” My body is fit and healthy, i maintain my goal weight, and weight loss comes easy and effortlessly to me”

” happy and positive situations always happen to me”

The more if you are in sync with what you actually want the quicker it will manifest. Is it not wonderful approach to see yourself in a more positive , prosper light?

3 – the power of gratitude

As i have written in my article The power of gratitude, gratitude is the fastest way of changing your mindset and boosting your manifestation process. It’s more difficult to be negative about situations you face when you are remembering things you are grateful for, writing a daily list every morning of what you have got going on in your life can reduce depression, reduce negative self- talk, boost self esteem. ” attitude of gratitude ” is a good health choice, being more grateful more often can make us an optimistic and happier.

A healthy dose of positive self talk can dispel a large amount of negative. Being consciously aware of your self – talk and thought process you can begin to filter through your thoughts and feed the positive and defuse the fire on negative.We always have the ability to turn negative self talk into positive. You will begin to feel lighter and more positive.Positive words are more powerful than negative, because they are more closely aligned with our true nature (or Higher Self). Remember always come from the place of gratitude and appreciation and loving yourself for who you are even as you strive in developing and getting better.

So start listening to yourself!
