Retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius semi squares Jupiter in Scorpio.

The Moon is in Leo.

Retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius forms a challenging semi squares Jupiter in Scorpio. This can cause some tension between what the mind thinks and what the truth actually is. Communication, truths and finding out what is hidden in the shadows will be tempting today but if we have strength and willingness to work within our self to uncover whats hidden within, waiting to be healed is the key today and not trying to find the dark shadow truths of others. Furthermore, watch out in the way you communicate today, as your’s and others communications can be off and misinterpreted, also watch out for speaking carelessly and pay attention to slips of the tongue! As we are in Mercury retrograde and our thoughts, reactions and communication can be misunderstood, and unexpected mishaps can happen right now! The best way to navigate through this energy is to take things slow and to give yourself time, With Mercury in Retrograde rocking the boat with Saturn still, we are still feeling its impact and rocky energy. Try to take any challenges with a grain of salt.

With the Moon being in playful Leo today, the Leo energy eases up the tension in the air, as it is great for treating yourself to some fun, excitement or chase your expressive creative pursuits. Make it a priority today to do something you love. Go to the beach, see a movie, take your dog for a walk, get your energy up and active, go on a date or dance the night away. This Leo moon energy will also help break up all the intense Mercury/Saturn energy. Get in touch with your inner child, engage in the love and romance, and playfulness. Just enjoy the simple things in life today

Have an amazing Thursday.

First Quarter Moon in Pisces.

Mars enters Aquarius.

The Moon continues its transit of Aquarius until 4:46 PM EST, when it enters First Quarter Moon in Pisces. This Luna phase is all about, challenges, decisions and action. What actions do you feel compelled to take? what itch needs to be scratched internally to move forward with your dreams?

This Morning with the Moon in Aquarius and we may tend to move away from those things that are traditional or classic to an out of ordinary way of thinking, acting and being. New sparks of creativity will fly and we have an individual way of persevering the environment around us. By this afternoon when the Moon moves into Pisces, the energy is more forward, eelusive, we are susceptible, stimulating, sensitive, and perhaps some become somewhat of an escapist. You may be tempted to spend the evening hibernating in your home, enjoying a glass of red wine or simply retreating and mediating, looking inwards and finding answers.

Mars goes into Aquarius today. Mars is the planet of drive and desire, it’s about moving forward. Aquarius is the sign that loves humanitarian work, doing things for the greater good, so the fact that we have this personal driven energy and progress in the sign of Aquarius leaves us feeling really good. We have a sense that” yes everything is going to work out in the end”. Today will be an emotional day but with Mars in Aquarius things are going to move in a surprising good direction and things will work out well for everyone. Today is about being of service and having faith.  Offer kindness and rich compassion to yourself and all you encounter. Mars in Aquarius can be wild, outside of the box and very visionary.

Have a great day

The Moon An Ancient Guide

The Moon As A Guide

Humans have gazed up at the nighttime sky for thousands of years, looking for meaning and guidance from the moon and stars. If you think about it, its really amazing how the Moon has a profound effect on the Earth, the gravity it generates is powerful enough to stir up and move water in our oceans , causing high and low tides.

The revolution of the Moon around the Earth makes the Moon appear as if it is changing shape and colour in the sky, but as we all know the Moon doesn’t generate any light itself,  its illuminating glow  is just the reflection of the light caused by the different angle of the Sun, in which we see as the bright part on the Moon’s surface.

The moon is our closest neighbor in space, and the moon has a profound effect on the Earth and on the human imagination. The moon & its phases were understood as early as 500 BC by the Greeks.  The shadow it cast is dark enough to obscure our sun in a solar eclipse. Its brilliance can illuminate a traveler’s path on a long winter’s night.

Being aware of the moon and seasonal changes has always been important to those who choose to focus the lunar energy on their goals and objectives, the moon cycles were used to keep track of seasons, and thus designated different agricultural markers.

In most neo-Pagan and Wiccan traditions, the names given to the various moon cycles are based upon a couple of different sources. the moon cycles were used to keep track of seasons, and thus designated different agricultural markers. The farmers almanacs ( An Almanacs is a calendar containing events such as phases of the moon, tides, sunrises and sunsets, astronomical or meteorological information, including future positions of celestial objects, star magnitudes, and culmination dates of constellations and other statistical information and related topics.) Where based on lunar cycles. The phases of the moon were very important to the farmer’s who timed their harvesting according to the moons cycles.
Knowing the moons phases can help you plan and prepare for change, new beginnings and endings. Ancient ways can still be used in modern times, working with the moons energy increases your own personal power and supports your intention. it is used in goal setting and self-empowerment,  and, of course, the moons energy play’s an important role for people that use the various phases of the moon in ritual work, magic and other ceremonies.

Rituals undertaken during certain moon phases can be enhanced by using the moon and its cycles for specific purposes.
