The Sun moves out of Gemini and into Cancer.

Venus in Leo opposes Mars in Aquarius.

Welcome to Cancer season yay! The Sun enters the intuitive, domestic and nurturing sign of Cancer. Shifting us from  air to water energy. Today also marks the winter solstice. With the Sun in Cancer you will find that you are more focused on relationships and those who are the closet to you. Trust, turning inwards, home and family life will be highlighted this month.

Venus in Leo opposes Mars in Aquarius. this opposition only happens once a year. Venus and  Mars are sitting 180 degrees from each other. Venus energy is very feminine and Mars energy is very masculine, and as they oppose each other today you will feel that you may long for the either one or the others energy in your life. Whenever they aspect each other the potential for creativity, fertility and romance are high. This yin and yang energy is also great for sudden break through… especially when it comes to business and travel adventures. Launch that website, ask for a pay rise, book those tickets, make your big plans happen or just get things started at least with the Venus and Mars energy sitting so far away from each other ( As much as they are against each other today) they will eventually join up where they belong and create something new.  However this opposition will cause friction and you may find it hard to appreciate what you have especially as you keep looking over your shoulder for what you think you would prefer or always telling yourself something better will be coming along. Balance of the male and female energy is key today and appreciating the life you have!

I want to take this opportunity as a Cancer to clear up a misunderstanding I often see expressed about us Cancer’s. Everyone seems to know that Cancer is sensitive, moody, nurturing and tender. However, do not mistake our kindness for weakness or our  sensitivity at that.  Please, make no mistake, Cancer is a powerful sign in its own right! The worst thing you could ever do is take the trusting and forgiving nature of Cancer and abuse your power, we have crab claw’s for a reason and we are very in tune when we think something doesn’t sit right. Think of Cancer as the nurturing mother bear! Don’t ever mess with mamma bear Cancer especially if you assume she will not strike back!

Over the coming month it is a time to focus on home, family, emotions, inner experience and our connection to the Divine Mother.While the Sun is in Cancer, you may feel more drawn inwards, you may focus more on building deep roots and a sense of belonging. As your attention is drawn inward to your domestic life. Enjoy the more gentle, intuitive nature of this sign.

The Moon enters Libra.

 The Sun in Gemini forms a square with the Libra Moon.

Today don’t be surprised if certain challenges arise, as we see the Sun and Moon at odds forming a square aspect with each other. Whatever seeds you planet at last week’s New Moon during this 1st quarter Moon phase will now be firm in the pipe lines, your projects take off and you should be able to see yours dreams coming to life, however this is also a crucial point where we are faced with the first set of obstacles and challenges… I can tell you funnily enough mine are all to do with communication or lack off ( ironic as it’s a Gemini New Moon which is all about communication). Some of us are feel an urgency to take action during this phase and others may find it  difficult to know what action to take but you know it is time to move forward with the understanding you gained since the New Moon last Wednesday.

It’s the last day of the Sun in Gemini, since May 20th, the Sun has been sitting in this witty, intelligent, inquisitive, curious and fast-talking Gemini. Tomorrow morning  the Sun enters nurturing, emotional and  inward Cancer.

The Moon enters diplomatic and harmonious Libra. This energy is lovely as it shows you how to move forward in a peaceful manner in regards to past or hurtful relationships. Libra Moon days also teach us that the best way to move forward is to face any issue with balanced, dispassionate and objectivity. It’s a day for working in harmony with others and face your challenges with race and an open heart.

The Moon enters Gemini.

Mercury enters Cancer.

By the time you wake up this morning, the Moon enters curious, lighthearted Gemini. When the Moon is in  Gemini we want to be out and about engaging in social interactions, probing for interesting conversations and keeping your mind busy.

Mercury the planet of communication and our thought process leaves the light-hearted energy of Gemini behind and enters Cancer. Shifting our mind and intellect from intellect to emotion and from air to water. Mercury in Cancer heightens our connection between our thoughts and emotions.We become very nurturing and sensitive in our communication and thinking.Over the coming weeks, you will think more about feelings, talk more about your feelings, you will look for and offer emotional support. You will be all wrapped up in emotions with a major focus on family, home life, relationships and your inner wanting. However, we can be so wrapped up in emotions that we may project a particular emotion more than the others, like jealously, possessiveness, being stuck in a past relationship, digging up past hurts and not seeing the future for the wonderful potential it holds.  Mercury will remain in Cancer until July 29th, so expect to be sensitive, emotional and Moody! Balsamic Moon in Taurus.

 The Sun in Gemini quincunxes retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, Making the mood for Monday morning a tad tense as these two cause friction between our ego and conscious  and the Lord of the transformation.This Sun and Pluto aspect is great for diving deep into our deepest darkest hidden self, its great for self revolutions, it also can bring up internal conflicts and confusion  between our desires and needs on the surface and our need to confront the shadows and what we truly desire in order for soul growth. Focus this energy on empowering yourself,  do your inner work and as the reward will be worth it!

With the balsamic Moon in Taurus, and the Sun and Pluto quincunxes each other, what better day to look inwards and do some inner work. During this Moon phase you can feel somewhat of strange energies floating around a certain ambiance, I noticed walking the dog this morning he was staring at a presence that I couldn’t see, like a wild world of unknown was swirling around him. As the Moon loves being in this earthy sign of Taurus it is a great day for doing the simple and naughty pleasures of life, lounging around, over indulging on food and wine and sensual activities.

You should wake up this morning feeling strongly driven! If like me I was able to  and able to tap into fierce determination and cut procrastination in the butt and get my jobs done. It’s a day for self courage. Find a way to use that intestine positive ” go and get them ” energy before it slips into impatience, agitated and aggressive energy. If you are feeling short-tempered or aggressive, it is best to go for a run, take it out on a punching bag or flirt with the idea of a hot sexual encounter or date. It is a day  to take on a challenge, be competitive, take a risk, prove something to yourself.

Mercury in Gemini quincunxes retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. Hmm, there will be some   tension between our  logical mind and thought [process and  the Lord of the Underworld and transformation.Mercury in Gemini prefers things to be light, witty, carefree and social. Pluto, on the other hand, asks us m, well demands us to  go down into the depths our being and find what is bugging us and what needs to be let go and transmuted. This aspect is good for therapy especially if you can find a great friend to talk with, and perhaps over a social dinner or a wine.

Today both Mercury and the Sun in Gemini square Neptune. This will stir up some tense energy and cause friction between our logical mind, our intuition and our awareness of life as a whole. Today clarity will not be as clear as we want it to be, and this clarity we seek wont be so forthcoming over the next few days. With the Sun in chatty Gemini and Mercury in play there is a lot you want to say and logically discus, but Neptune does not support such understanding.Watch as confusion and lack of clarity may be expressed in conversations all around you. Today it would probably be best to wait before speaking your mind especially in regards to sensitive issues. That means don’t rush into anything that involves trying to explain yourself or your position.

On a positive note today, expect the most unexpected and interesting conversations and ideas. The predominant feature of Wednesday is the fact that Mercury forms lovely aspects to two major players in the Skye. We also have the Full Moon still Sagittarius. With the Moon in exploration loving Sagittarius, take a walk, dream, wonder, or pray or teach someone something new, pay it forwards..

Mercury in Gemini semisextiles Uranus in Taurus. linking our mind and communication with the rebel of the sky and the revolutionist in expansive ways! Mercury and Uranus join together is great for those who need insights, for the dots to connect in your mind and those much-needed aha moments.What a beautiful day to expand the way we think.

The key for today is to really pay attention to the people we meet, the conversations we have and any repetitive thoughts that come our way as much could be being reveled to us.

A Full Moon traditionally represents a time when the Sun and Moon are at 180 degrees of one and other, when the Sun illuminates the Moon to make it Full and bright. It’s the mid way point of a lunar cycle, if you can think back to the New Moon we had on May 15th.
