This week in astrology….

The start of the week we get a New Moon in Cancer. This beautiful manifesting New Moon occurs on Monday, July 4th, 2016, at 7:01 AM EDT

The New Moon in Cancer on July 4, 2016 is the commencement of a new Luna cycle., thus ending the Gemini New Moon. Cycle. This month not only is the Sun is in Cancer, Venus is in Cancer and Mercury is in Cancer. Oh La La.

So what does this mean..

The Sun is in Cancer from June 20-July 22. We Cancerians are very self-protective and do a lot of inward looking, so many of you may experience this energy under this cosmic influence. Emotions run deep with us Cancerians and so any of you could experience the waves and floods of emotions we experience daily for no reason. We are more susceptible to the ups and downs of the Moon; even more so while the Sun is in Cancer. Nurturing and taking care of our loved ones including pets comes into focus. But remember to take some self-care as this cardinal sign often neglects their own needs. I am very guilty of this!! Attentions will be turned into our homes, love nest and most of all our loved ones and families, anything that makes you feel safe and secure.

From June 29-July 13 Mercury is in Cancer. Mercury is the planet that rules communication and thought process. While it resides in the sign of cancer it will be less of the logical mind thinking and reasoning and more gut level way of feeling, thinking, speaking and perceiving. Today marks the beginning of the 29.5 day Moon cycle, as we are having a New Moon in Cancer today  July 4th, 2016 .New Moons are a new wave of energy  that happens when the   Sun and Moon meet at the exact same point of the zodiac ( being Cancer this month)

As a Cancerian myself this is a very exciting month for me, a month of love, birthdays, happiness and today a chance to dream up big and manifest.

This Cancer New Moon offers us a chance to rebirth our emotional body. What do you desire to feel about yourself and your life? What Cancerians traits would you like to manifest and invite into your world?

Cancer is the sign of the Mother,Carer, Nurturer. Cancer symbolizes the womb of Life. MOON INTO LIBRA

The Moon again transits Libra all day, so today is a good day  for resolving any relationship issues’s, use this time to make peace with an ex – loved one, partner, friend.Under this influence, we find the most emotional satisfaction when our interactions, whether they are with with people or our environment are balanced and harmonious. Libra’s energy is all about being diplomatic, fair and equal, so if you have a personal or professional matter on which you’d like to reach an agreement, today is the day. Pleasing others is a theme now. Conflicts tend to be avoided. Today is all showing people how much you care, so basically just a great day for love.

We are still in Mercury retrograde, Mercury is the planet of communication and rules our “lower” mind, this is where we perceive and interpret information that we receive from our environment, and how we relay that information to others.Mercury retrograde tends to breed a certain level of confusion and miscommunication, this can happen in areas that are also ruled by mercury such as travel, formal contracts, buying and selling, speaking and negotiating, documents and mailing, shipping etc. So remember no big plans are to launched, signed or released, hold up on any big purchases. The week ahead

Well this week we see the magic of the waxing crescent moon transform into the beginning of the New Moon cycle that occurs on Friday, May 6th, 2016.

The Aries New Moon cycle we have just been in ends and the New Moon in Taurus cycle begins.

The energies of this earth sign is the mighty Bull!, It’s time to enjoy life’s simple and physical pleasures, this New Moon is great time to commit to personal goals, try to tap into the beautiful grounding energies of this star signs and not pulled down by their negative!

Enjoy activities that bring you in touch with nature and with you bodies. Taurus is about security, safety, ambitions, sensual and practical. The have a great eye for beauty, and a mastermind with finances. With this New Moon approaching its time to become more aware of what makes us feel comfortable and secure. Work at it, wish and put the intentions out there on what your true heart desires.

Mercury transits the sun (crosses in front of the sun, as seen from Earth) on May 9, for the first time since 2006

With Mercury in retrograde and with the New Moon approaching Taurus, this is a good cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship to possessions and money, and to discover what truly makes us happy and fulfilled.

Jupiter pops out first thing at dusk. It’s the brightest star like object in May and lights up the nighttime until the wee hours of the morning.

 

 

Lets Start at the beginning of the week

Monday 1st May , the moon is in Pisces connecting ( T-square configuration) with Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn. As we know Pisces is a creative, artistic a dreamer..  but it can also leave your thoughts chaotic and a little of not knowing whats going on this is  due to Mercury in retrograde. The configuration of these planets, we may be feeling a little chaotic , emotional unbalanced, with internal and external conflicts. We will feel to a degree, instability and undecidable with our goals and what next step to take. A positive aspect is our usual intuition and judgment is enhanced under this influence, and we can use this to help ground ourselves when thinking, dealing and seeing in matters with fresh new perspective that works in our advantage. finding beauty in the differences.

Tuesday –

The Sun trine is in a positive aspect with Jupiter and Virgo  This influence is about growth and expansiveness. These planets are about earth and stability and practical matters. We are more aware of moral issues, and have a desire to improve and learn. Optimism and confidence are basic elements in the energy of this transit. We are more willing to take a risk or two, and we are motivated by a desire to impress others. Enthusiasm runs high, and cooperation comes easy. This is generally a good time to schedule new beginnings in business, education, personal relationships, marriage, creative projects, and so forth, all things equal.

Although Taurus energy  can be easy-going and respectful, its energy  can also be unbelievably stubborn, self-indulgent and inflexible in their approach. So if you find this week that if logic and logical conversations don’t seem to be getting across to some you will know its the stubbornness of the Taurus energy, so just breath , smile and know  that some might refuse to listen! common sense sometimes isn’t so common.

When Wednesday/Thursday   approaches, this is a special day as the Sun is in Taurus; Mercury is in Taurus; Venus is in Taurus; Mars is in Sagittarius. WOW what a mouthful, and kinda unnerving, this whole week is a build of energy for something big to be released… A cosmic storm!!!

Friday we see the New Moon. The last New Moon in Scorpio was a little intense with that Scorpio energy, now the New Moon is in the sign of Taurus  we will see on that day the Moon will make several aspects , aspects with Venus, Neptune, Jupiter, pluto and Mercury . Be prepared it will be a very busy new moon, and new moons are always about new beginnings  and with this potent Taurus energy  it’s all about practicality nature, security oriented nature dealing with money , values , resources, material level, projects or careers.

Saturday  and Sunday we will see a very busy build up of positive earth signs. that will include – Pluto,Jupiter, Capricorn and Virgo. This build up of energy is a good change, we will see positive results once mercury and jupiter get out of retrograde and go direct!! The  Sun in Taurus is trine with pluto , jupiter and Capricorn, so this results in a Grand Trine. The Sun is making a grand trine with all the earth signs, the Sun in Taurus  is aligning and connecting positively with jupiter and the earth sign of virgo,  The Sun is also  in a positive aspect with the earth sign of capricorn. The grand build up is transforming a powerful energy, that will be interesting to see unfold over the next few weeks.

So lets not forget to mention Mercury

Mercury is in retrograde, and as the planet of communication, when it is in retrograde  communication can be misinterpreted ,confusing and lead to an uncertain level of communication confusion! EEK so while we are in this period its best to remember that mercury rules our lower minds and how we perceive information, interpret information and communication,  from ourselves, others and our surrounding environment. So pay close attention to what you say and communicate in general.

Mercury also has ruler-ship in other areas of our worlds such as buying and selling, travel, signing formal contracts, speaking,  negotiating,  listening and  documents, so try to avoid any large purchases, booking holidays, signing new business deals and contracts, negotiating new jobs or pay rises as all of these areas of life can affected when Mercury is functioning in a sluggish state.

Good old Mercury is here to help us make important changes in our lives, he helps us to  reorganise and reflect.This period is  great at  looking  at the world, situations, ourselves a little differently,  with rose-coloured glasses or through different filters, and most importantly Mercury helps us  come up with some very important inner revelations

So this Week

You have the chance to make important changes in your lives.

Self reflect – is it time to make some solid yet realistic plans?

Sit down, really reflect on what you want to change or bring into your life, write your New Moon intentions

Be proactive and  set the stage for reaping the rewards from your new beginnings, as little or big as they may be.

Meditate and focus on your third eye, root and solar plexus Chakra

Purification and cleansing this week is the theme, with mercury being in retrograde. Use this time as a Cleanse period and rid the path of most resistance…

Law of attraction will be put into practice this week, testing our new boundaries, Ask for assistance this week from someone who is more in tune with  the divine , universe, a guru etc.. if you feel like you are in a rut, help is coming, just wait it’s on it way ,  talk to your guides, angles the  big man in the sky and take the life raft if one is offered to you.emotional cleansing will lead to liberation for the soul, and  will help ground you this week with all the cosmic chaos going on.

Clean away old patterns, energies that you  rid to get rid of before and didn’t work, cos now with the planetary alignments and the New Moon it is the time to really clean and cleanse out ourself for our souls, its time for you to get  rid of what has been holding you back

As this lunar cycle is ending,  it is a  really great time to let go and move on. It’s also a time for rest and a time to heal. Change is inevitable……energy is always in motion….the wheel of Destiny is always spinning…..be open to the next step! Use the energy of the New Moon approaching to help guide , heal and set positive intentions.

Once again, with all this planetary action happening this week ( if you haven’t read my Week Ahead berg click here )  this is a brilliant time to put a stop to any habits that are not good for you. Before you fall into despair over how to survive these astrological and astronomical shenanigans, just  remember that all of these events are simply a call for awareness,lessons,  healing, reevaluation and transmutation .

We are already feeling unbalanced from the turbulent  energy of Mercury Retrograde, and perhaps some of you may be  struggling with relationships as they relate to communication. If there has been a drama with someone and you want to continue the relationship, this is another wonderful time to release upset.

Add to that Mars Retrograde, the planet of war and sex and we shouldn’t be surprised to see sparks flying between partners.It is also a time to end relationships which are not working for you..  For some, those sparks may mean the beginning of new relationships or the renewal of old ones.

 New Moon

As the New Moon approaches us have you ever sat and wondered what people are talking about when they mention the “New Moon” and no it’s not a book in the Twilight series I am talking about.

The “New Moon” is the start of the lunar cycle. The new lunar cycle occurs approximately once every 29 days. This is a time when the Moon, Sun and Earth, Moon are roughly positioned in a line, with the Moon sitting between the Earth and the Sun. This is why you can’t see the moon hovering in the night sky. This is often referred to ( and not just by Pink Floyd) as the dark side of the moon.

This “Dark moon” in many cultures such as the Hebrew and Chinese,  represents the start of the calendar month. The first day of the new moon is considered to be the finest day to begin undertaking any new project or task or in many belief systems it is the time to plant a seed of what you want to grow in your life. Making a wish, a promise or to set an intention is a common practice. It is believed that as the moon  grows, that your goal or intention will too …

We are still in that 48 hour time zone where New Moon wishes and intentions can create abundance. Make those wishes count. When you harness the energy with the power of pure intention, the universe is ready to manifest miracles. A great moon mantra to use to raise your  vibrations and create positive mind set  is “I see the New Moon and the New Moon sees me, I wish for abundance to come to me.” and Feel and imagine like what you intend on manifesting or wishes for as already yours..

Remember the Law Of Attraction states you attract what you think and feel. So the question is… Do you believe in magic ?

Humans have gazed up at the nighttime sky for thousands of years, looking for meaning and guidance from the moon and stars. If you think about it, its really amazing how the Moon has a profound effect on the Earth, the gravity it generates is powerful enough to stir up and move water in our oceans , causing high and low tides.

The revolution of the Moon around the Earth makes the Moon appear as if it is changing shape and colour in the sky, but as we all know the Moon doesn’t generate any light itself,  its illuminating glow  is just the reflection of the light caused by the different angle of the Sun, in which we see as the bright part on the Moon’s surface.

The moon is our closest neighbor in space, and the moon has a profound effect on the Earth and on the human imagination. The moon & its phases were understood as early as 500 BC by the Greeks.  The shadow it cast is dark enough to obscure our sun in a solar eclipse. Its brilliance can illuminate a traveler’s path on a long winter’s night.

Being aware of the moon and seasonal changes has always been important to those who choose to focus the lunar energy on their goals and objectives, the moon cycles were used to keep track of seasons, and thus designated different agricultural markers.

~We are in a transformational time right now~

The full Moon Eclipse Energies always bring huge change and fast movement on our Paths! Time to revisit our new moon wishes and intentions we made two weeks ago , and start putting in some action and Innovation towards achieving them!! So making any Small steps, large steps & any intentions to move towards the goals we set for ourselves will amplify the chances of our dreams coming true.

Today the moon crosses into Virgo & as Mercury the communications planet, moves into Aries, it’s going to be easier to speak up for ourselves. Patience

Although you may be aching to begin a new project, now is not the time.

You are in the vital phase of gathering right now. This means that you’re acquiring new information through studying, reading, meditating, channeling, taking classes, interviewing experts, and other means. In all of life, there is a time for gathering and a time for planting.

It is too soon for you to decide how you will use the new information that you’re absorbing. You may have some ideas, though, so it might be wise to write them down for future use. Soon enough, you will be called into action to apply your knowledge in useful ways. When that happens, you will be very busy and work very hard. So, enjoy the present moments of ambiguity and rest.

Allow yourself to be an empty vessel into which Heaven pours the contents of its library of wisdom. Your unique talents will blend with this wisdom, and synthesize it into a new and important way to bring peace to this planet.
