Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 4 degrees in Libra

OK, it’s the celestial build-up we have all been waiting for! Over the next 24 hours, Astrologically we will see  two massive planets, Jupiter and Saturn clash and then on the same day, we get the Full Moon eclipse in the relationship sign of Libra.

In other words, all bets are off in March, due to our  Super New moon in Pisces, our Lunar Eclipse in Libra and the equinox, so  things could get quite wild and it’s a REALLY awesome day to practice some old fashioned Full Moon forgiveness and gratitude. We are in a transformational time right now, Exciting stuff hey.

The Eclipse Energy always bring huge change and fast movement on our Paths!

So what are you doing differently this time?

We are also experiencing re-patterning energies that has not been experienced since March 1998, when this eclipse  last occurred.

Here we go with some magnificent cosmic energy raining down upon our beautiful planet Earth. We are literally charged up with light over the next 24 hours globally. Mindfulness Breathing Meditation

By focusing on the breath you become aware of the mind’s tendency to jump from one thing to another. The simple discipline of concentration brings us back to the present moment

The purpose of this exercise is to simply notice, accept and be aware of your breath, it’s bringing you back into the moment. As well as this, the mindfulness of breathing is a good antidote to restlessness and anxiety, and a good way to relax: concentration on the breath has a positive effect on your entire physical and mental state.

Sit quietly in a chair with both feet on the ground and your hands in your lap. Close your eyes, if it feels comfortable. If not, soften your gaze. Allow yourself to feel centred in the chair. Bring your attention to the present moment by noticing how you’re feeling physically. Scan your body from head to toe and consciously try to let any tension slip away. Take a moment to notice your environment – any sounds you might hear in the background, what the temperature feels like in the room.Bring all of your attention to the physical act of breathing. Start to notice the breath as it enters your body through your nose and travels to your lungs. After the out-breath you count one, then you breathe in and out and count two, and so on up to ten, and then you start again at one.

Don’t try to do anything with your breathing – simply notice it, pay attention to it and be aware of it.  Each time your mind wanders away from the breath (and this will happen many times!), notice where it goes and then gently bring your attention back to the feeling of the breath going in and out.

Start of by just doing a few minutes , set a timer for 5 minutes (Eventually work your way up to 10, 15 then 30 minutes). When the meditation has ended, take a few moments to yourself, just to really feel connected with the present moment. Expand your awareness from the breath into the room around you, and as you feel comfortable to do so, open your eyes and bring the exercise to a close.

Take a few moments to think about what your experience was in this exercise, and how you feel in the present moment. Journal and take notes on how you feel, and compare your notes at the end of the week, and you can not only feel it, but you will be able to reflect and see the difference.

 

Mindfulness Monday…

The Happiness Project…..

Day 1.

Today is the first day of my mini happiness adventure, and an optimistic attitude is the first tool you need to tackle change. So today let me introduce you to Mindfulness, the ancient practice of focusing a non judgmental awareness on the present moment is a great place to start.

Mindfulness is a great mind exercises that allow you to be able to identify, permit and reduce any painful, fearful and difficult thoughts, sensations  and feelings. Trying to shift these personal experiences, feelings and thoughts to that of a positive mind-set, try asking yourself what-if questions, such as,

“What if life is working on my behalf?”

“What if this is a blessing in disguise?”.

“What if I believe things are going to get better?”

“What if this crisis is the best wake-up call I ever got?”Looking at change this way will make it seem less scary because you’re focusing your mind on positive outcome. Mindfulness gives you back some sense of mastery over your thoughts and feelings. Rather than having the sense that you are being pushed around by the universe or your feelings and thoughts you can learn to be able to have some control over them. So seeing the positive in what seems like a negative will you can actually rewire your mind to think more optimistically.

Mindfulness can…

Increases Positive Emotions .

Decreases Depression.

Decreases Anxiety .

Decreases Stress.

Today, go to a cafe, sit at the beach or go somewhere you love and feel good to be at, and write down things that have upset you, hurt you, any difficult situations or people and really reflect, look at things from an outside point of view, non emotional and non bias view and write ONE or more positive “What If’s”.

So for me, last year i seemed to meet really great guys, but it never worked out, i thought i was not good enough or why can’t i every find love and be happy?”

” What if he wasn’t the man for me, and the universe was making me, emotionally free and single, so that the right man to come into my life, and i will be drama and stress-free and happy” .

So today i really looked back on the relationships… And as much as i hated to admit it, as much as they where great guys… they were not the great guy for me..

Today i will also use mindfulness in little bumps in my day ( hopefully I don’t ) but  instead of getting mad, or upset i will stop myself, take 3 deep breaths , affirm to myself ” its going to be ok, you have survived a lot worse, smile this will all pass quickly”

Super New Moon in Pisces 2016

 

Happy New Moon day!

Well this New Moon in Pisces on March 8-9 is not only a Super Moon, meaning it is closest to Earth and so has a stronger effect on the tides and our bodies and emotions, This New Moon is also  first of four eclipses this year…Tonight and tomorrow see’s the  first of three Super Moons in a row, this New Moon eclipse also happens with the Moon at perigee ( the moons closest point to earth in its orbit),  which intensifies its impact on tides, tectonic plates and human beings. Tonight’s  Moon  see’s this Super New Moon in the archetypal waters of Pisces, Ah Pisces the sign of the dreamer, the mystic the artist. During this period we are asked to step into our dream time to reflect, to feel it all, to cleanse it all and draw forth from the collective unconscious and find a new dream that wants to be birthed.

During this solar eclipse prepare yourself to navigate yourself through the energies of the New Super moon in Pisces, as it is the most emotional moon if the year . MOON INTO CANCER: We are still in the First Quarter Phase of the Moon as she moves into Cancer. This is a lovely, comfy, and homely vibe.
However, also today, we have the move of Venus into Aquarius, a far more aloof and detached sign.

So today, if on the one hand you want to “juss vont to be alone!” while on the other hand you want to smother someone with your love,  you now you know why.

My suggestion would be to go for the cuddling and hugging until someone tells you to stop. And then don’t be offended! Don’t take it personally!

~ Be Brave ~

Is there something that you are worrying about? Is there something that you are putting off? Something that you do not want to do but have to do? Well the Angels are asking you to be brave, go forth and do it! You never know it might not be as bad as you think that it is going to be. There could be valuable lessons to learn from this experience. Nothing in life is ever presented to you that you can’t handle, nothing! You are protected by your Guardian Angel. Even if you feel that you are in the dark, please know that The Angels are shining light on to you, protecting you, guiding you and willing you to go forward in your quest! Yay it’s Friday, my last day of the working week!!! And today as the moon is in Capricorn it

The Moon in Capricorn is a wonderful time to process things and to plan for the future. Dealing with serious emotions is easier than usual. Strategizing is highly recommended.

The Moon is in the Balsamic Phase, which means it’s time to let go of the past – let it crumble.

~ Child ~

This card signifies that a child is affecting some aspect of your question. This could be your own child, your desire for a child, a young family member, or your present or future work in helping children.Have children been on your mind lately? If so, this card is proof that whatever you’ve been considering is valid. This includes spending more time with children, and looking into areas of employment related to young ones.

See your need to play, have fun, and honor your inner child. Perhaps you will play with your own children or grandchildren. Or, you might enjoy having fun with another adult or doing work that involves helping children.

Last week of January… This year is flying by before my eyes.

Wow lots of energy swirling around this week, Mercury is coming out of retrograde, and this week and for the rest of the month we will see in our skies Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn. These planets are visible with the naked eye here on earth and will appear in a line on the horizon to the moon. This week’s energy sees a battle between our minds and our hearts “ Logic Vs Emotions. Mercury is coming out of retrograde this week, which see’s communication slowly return to back to normal. As this planet slowly starts spinning in the right direction so should your communication. In addition watch how you communicate this week, don’t be aggressive or assertive and try a softer, more sensitive approach. The start of the week sees new ideas, new opportunities coming to you. Prosperity and your manifestation requests are coming into place this week so keep up all the good positive work you have been doing to create more abundance in your life. If you have had any new ideas about starting a new project, hobby or a new direction for your life purpose you are about to prosper. If you are feeling like you need a life review, this is the week to really sit down and figure out what you want, what direction do you want to see yourself going this year?

Monday to Tuesday, whilst reflecting and reviewing your life and what makes you happy, have a pamper session, get back to yourself and do what makes you feel like… Well.. Like you, get a massage, your nails or hair done, have a bath with sea salt, cleanse your energy and aura of all the intense energy that you have collected since the new year.

As we get into the mid week we must allow ourselves more time before we leap into any major or minor decision, take it step by step, review all the facts make a list of pro’s and con’s if you must, take care of yourself and your thoughts. Try and not be influenced by emotional impulse.

Find a safe place; watch a movie mediate on the answers you seek, speak to your heavenly guides weather its your guardian angels, arch angels or the giant doughnut in the sky, who ever you look up to, quieting your mind and ask for some help if you need it. Nourish your body and mind.

As we enter the weekend, well if romance is what you are after the energy is strong, Divine endless love and support, if its falling in love with your life, your partner, yourself or finding a new romantic interest this weekend looks promising. New intimate relationships are highlighted this weekend. Kissing the divine, divine within yourself or someone else. utilise your sensuality and embrace the weekend from a loving place. Empower yourself.

So this week, let your inner beauty shine don’t change who you are, go with change that’s happening in our life. Be present in the moment and weigh up your options before leaping into a life changing adventure.

Alkaline Vs Acidic Foods

 

If anyone reading this is like me and has over indulged over the past few weeks for the silly season and Christmas, you may be feeling (besides very guilty) bloated, lethargic and ” heavy”. Than its time to join me on a mini detox, to help with the sluggish metabolism and digestion. Now if you have been hearing all about this “ alkaline diet” in all the gossip mags, or possibly overheard girls in the tea room at lunch talking about this new “Fad diet” im going to give you a little run down on the basics and why its good for detoxing or making it a new permanent way of eating.

So, what’s the theory?

The theory is that the Ph balances within our body influences whether our bodies host a disease or helps fight off disease. A high acid diet can creates a breeding ground for disease, which can lead to poor health and chronic disease. If you, like me are gaining weight, craving carbs and sugar, wake up or frequently have a foggy brain than you are running too acidic.

The Run Down

This diet makes the body less susceptible to inflammation and disease whilst promoting increased energy, weight loss, stomach upsets indigestion and fights fatigue. It’s recommended that if you consume alkaline foods 80% of the time it can transform your life.

Acidic Vs Alkaline Foods

  • Foods that cause excess acidity include Meat, Dairy, Sugar, poultry, fish, eggs, grains, alcohol and flower ( All my favourite foods).
  • Alkaline foods consist of Vegetables, Fruits, Legumes , Nuts.

When talking about the alkaline diet, it is important to understand the meaning of the pH value. So as nurses ill give you a quick cheat sheet on what ph is. The pH value in the body ranges from 0 to 14

  • 0-7 is acidic. (Think of the acid in the stomach that brakes foods down)

Now im keeping this simple because I am only taking on components if this diet to detox myself off the Christmas treats I have been scoffing down as of late. Examples of Alkalising Vegetables: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber, Kale, Lettuce, Onions, Peas, beans, sweet potato, Peppers, and Spinach, carrots and garlic.

Examples of Alkalising Fruits: Apple, Banana, Berries, rockmelon, Grapes, Melon, Lemon, Orange, Peach, Pear, Watermelon, pineapple and mango.

Ready steady…. and juice

As of this week, im starting each morning with a smoothie made with fruits and veggies on the allowed list. Today I mixed up in my nutribullet, Blueberries, watermelon, pineapple, celery, pear, apple and carrot and let me tell you I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this earlier. It was so refreshing especially in this heat wave (Temperature already reaching 28o at 6 am) I couldn’t of started eating healthier at a better time.

Lunch time I had roasted sweat potato, garlic, carrot and broccoli

And for dinner I had zucchini pasta ( yes made with a red wine and garlic pasta sauce) with a side of cauliflower mash.

Its only been 3 days and I can tell you I already feel lighter, my stomach no longer looks like Uncle Francis beer gut and I found im getting my spring in my step. You don’t have to completely change your lifestyle, I still sit at star bucks before work each morning with my sugar free vanilla latte and read my book, but im choosing not to add my buttery raisin toast to add with it, and now I make a conscious choice when I grab for snacks also when I go food shopping.

However, you might want to consider some of these extra tips to get you back on track while detoxing.

Here we go….

Hydration

Everything is influenced by the quantity of the water you drink. Getting adequately hydrated will make a huge difference to your health, immunity, energy and vitality. So gulp up, flush those Christmas puddings out! Aim for 6 to 14 cups a day, remember not to overdo it, listen to your body and never force it!

Transition

Take it slowly! It is far better to transition and get there slowly, by sticking to it for the long-term rather than being perfect for a day or two and then crashing (which is what I normally do eek)

Supplements.

Supplements are another effective way to assist your body in returning to its healthful state, Supplements are great at replacing lost nutrients with vitamins and minerals to give your immune system a boost.
