The New Moon in Cancer 2016

Today marks the beginning of the 29.5 day Moon cycle, as we are having a New Moon in Cancer today  July 4th, 2016 .New Moons are a new wave of energy  that happens when the   Sun and Moon meet at the exact same point of the zodiac ( being Cancer this month)

As a Cancerian myself this is a very exciting month for me, a month of love, birthdays, happiness and today a chance to dream up big and manifest.

This Cancer New Moon offers us a chance to rebirth our emotional body. What do you desire to feel about yourself and your life? What Cancerians traits would you like to manifest and invite into your world?

Cancer is the sign of the Mother,Carer, Nurturer. Cancer symbolizes the womb of Life. Cancerians are the protectors,highly  creative and we feel things on a  very deep level, deep like the running tides of rivers and the oceans. As Cancer is the first cardinal water sign it is a sign of strong feminine power providing the symbolic water of life upon everyone we come across.The Moon is the ruler of Cancer, drawing upon the waters of creation in a tidal ebb and flow. The Moon speaks to us through our  imagination, our visions, our dreams, our symbols, our stories… Cancerians are highly intuitive, our gut instincts are 100% so don’t try to trick us we see through the veil of lies, we are very observing and we will love you until the end of time, no matter how bad you hurt us.  We are ruled by our stomachs, we heal by cooking, comfort eating, and smoother the people we love.

Even though you may feel that you are not ready to start working on your heart’s desire, this card is saying that now is the best time to do so. In other words, even though you may not feel ready, you are ready right now.

This is about taking steps towards your true heart’s desires, both big and small. In some way you need to establish what you don’t need in your life, or what will interfere with you working towards your true heart’s desire. It could be the way you think, as you may have self-doubts, fears, worries, insecurities and other self-sabotaging thoughts. In some sense, what is needed here, first to recognize that you have such negative thoughts, second perhaps establish a pattern, when you are likely to think of these negative thoughts, third be vigilant so you can recognise these negative thoughts and forth to deal and challenge these thoughts, so you can turn them around so that these negative thoughts do not have such a hold on you.

It could be a simple case that you have too many responsibilities and obligations places on you. If people are constantly putting demands on your time, energy and attention, know that it is OK to say “No” occasionally. If you have too many responsibilities, if there is someone around you who can do them for you , than delegate, so that the workload is fairly distributed. By doing this you are rescheduling your time so you can spend time doing something that is truly important to you.

By working on your true heart’s desires you will have more energy, have greater self-esteem, you will be happier and you will attract more abundance.”

There is a lot of love and good feeling in the air today! Even when I pulled the daily card I got ” Cupid”

Today as the Moon moves into Gemini we see Venus connecting with the planet Pluto first and then secondly with Jupiter.

If you need to liven things up with your love life, lover or you just want more fun in your life, then use today. Smile that cute stranger, widen your horizons by texting that person who you have been admiring , talk things through, feel the love.

Currently we are in the Balsamic Moon phase…. which energy is great for healing, smoothing things over , healing wounds.

The Balsamic Moon phase is the final phase in the lunation cycle, the Balsamic Moon is the monthly “sleep time” ” healing time” “replenishing time” . The Balsamic Moon phase can and has caused me ( and im sure a few of you out there) a depletion in our physical energy. Our physical energy is necessarily  low as our psychic energy is high. We are  at a threshold, with the  ending of one Luna phase while anticipating a new one round the corner. We might want to get into motion, but our bodies are tired.

MOON INTO LIBRA

The Moon again transits Libra all day, so today is a good day  for resolving any relationship issues’s, use this time to make peace with an ex – loved one, partner, friend.Under this influence, we find the most emotional satisfaction when our interactions, whether they are with with people or our environment are balanced and harmonious. Libra’s energy is all about being diplomatic, fair and equal, so if you have a personal or professional matter on which you’d like to reach an agreement, today is the day. Pleasing others is a theme now. Conflicts tend to be avoided. Today is all showing people how much you care, so basically just a great day for love.

We are still in Mercury retrograde, Mercury is the planet of communication and rules our “lower” mind, this is where we perceive and interpret information that we receive from our environment, and how we relay that information to others.Mercury retrograde tends to breed a certain level of confusion and miscommunication, this can happen in areas that are also ruled by mercury such as travel, formal contracts, buying and selling, speaking and negotiating, documents and mailing, shipping etc. So remember no big plans are to launched, signed or released, hold up on any big purchases. Don’t book that big overseas trip just yet and dont sign any important documents or rentals or agreements.. if you can hold off do so for another week or so

 BALSAMIC MOON INTO TAURUS

As this lunar cycle is ending,  it is a  really great time to let go and move on. It’s also a time for rest and a time to heal. Change is inevitable……energy is always in motion….the wheel of Destiny is always spinning…..be open to the next step! Use the energy of the New Moon approaching to help guide , heal and set positive intentions.

Fun fact for today ~ Jupiter pops out first thing at dusk. It’s the brightest star like object in May and lights up the nighttime until the wee hours of the morning.

Once again, with all this planetary action happening this week ( if you haven’t read my Week Ahead berg click here )  this is a brilliant time to put a stop to any habits that are not good for you. Before you fall into despair over how to survive these astrological and astronomical shenanigans, just  remember that all of these events are simply a call for awareness,lessons,  healing, reevaluation and transmutation .

We are already feeling unbalanced from the turbulent  energy of Mercury Retrograde, and perhaps some of you may be  struggling with relationships as they relate to communication. If there has been a drama with someone and you want to continue the relationship, this is another wonderful time to release upset.

Add to that Mars Retrograde, the planet of war and sex and we shouldn’t be surprised to see sparks flying between partners.It is also a time to end relationships which are not working for you..  For some, those sparks may mean the beginning of new relationships or the renewal of old ones.

LAST QUARTER MOON IN SAGITTARIUS:

Today, If you have been doing some self reflection or having troubles healing or understanding  a problem or  situation here is a little prayer or manta to say to yourself today and any day you may need it.

God/dess, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can And the wisdom to know the difference.

The Waning moon is decreasing in size, moving from the Full moon towards the New moon in Pisces. This is a good time to end bad relationships, break bad addictions or bad habits. Losing weight. ridding oneself of negativity or illness, the removal of troubles and worries. So today find five minutes and write on a piece of paper anything you need breaking free from, then say a little prayer to your angels and guides and burn the paper safely and release it to be healed.

A dose of Vitamin Sea

Sunshine is the medicine for the soul… If you are anything like me, an empath, the cure to burning off other people’s energy is a good dose of sunshine. For me being in nature especially at the beach and in the sunshine makes my soul whole again.

Being a nurse I pick up and take on others invisible energy and emotions. It doesn’t help that my Star sign is cancerian either… But part of my life lesson , as I am learning ( the hard way sometimes)  is how to remove excess and unwanted energy from myself and my aura, and furthermore learning to figure out what are my emotions and what are other people’s emotions I’m feeling and taking aboard. So grounding is a very important part of my life. I have always been drawn to the water and the beach and now as I reflect back on my life I’ve always lived next to the beach or near a mountain and if I couldn’t be near these parts of nature I felt lost, something was missing, floating in a place that I didn’t enjoy.

I am so very blessed to live with the beach at the end of my street, so every weekend I get up and have my morning coffee or smoothie on the beach and just sit with my feet in the sand and recharge, reflect and regain my energy!

Each weekday I ride my bike along the beach side to work and in that ten minutes ride, my problems , my thoughts all melt away and I think how lucky we are to have such beauty in this world. The sun that shines, even in the darkest of days , it’s still in the sky giving light and life energy, the ocean glistening, waves rolling onto the shore without hesitation or failure. The clean air I breath, all the wonderfull animals i coexist with, along with all the life around me. In those moments I am one with everyone and everything in this universe… Such bliss!

The Archangel Chamuel’s name comes from the verb lenachem in Hebrew, which means comfort and compassion. n Chamuel name can be translated into ‘He who sees God’. Chamuel isn’t mentioned by name in major religious texts, but in both Christian and Jewish  tradition, he has been identified as the angel who carried out some key missions. Chamuals missions include comforting Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane before Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion and earlier on in biblical texts he is said to be comforting Adam and Eve after God sent Archangel Jophiel to expel them from the Garden of Eden. Christian and Jewish believers (especially those who follow the Kabbalah consider Chamuel to be one of seven archangels who have the honour of living in God’s direct presence in heaven)

 

In the Kabbalah teachings, Chamuel (as Kamael in the kabbalah text) is the archangel of the Geburah, which governs the fifth Sephirah (aspect of God) on the Tree of Life . Kabbalists consider Chamuel one of the Seraphim, which is the highest level of the choirs of angels.

Chamuel is the archangel of the pink ray of divine pure love. Chamuel can lift you from the depths of sorrow and find love in your heart. As he is the angel most people call upon for healing and finding relationships of pure love. Chamuel helps us to renew and improve existing relationships as well as finding our soul mates. Chamuel helps with building strong foundations for our relationships (as well as careers) so they’re long-lasting, meaningful and healthy.
